Petey's Legacy was born out of a deep-seated passion for animals and a desire to make a tangible difference in their lives. Founded in the heart of upstate New York, our journey began with our best friend and heart dog, Petey. Throughout his 12 years of being a foster brother and our angel, he taught us the importance of patience, acceptance, and unwavering love. Inspired by his spirit, we continue to dedicate ourselves to rescuing these misunderstood dogs and providing them with the love and care they deserve. If it weren't for a foster opening up their homes to our boy when we adopted him, we wouldn't have been blessed with him changing our lives forever. 

So, we formed Petey's Legacy in his honor, to carry the values he taught us forward. Our amazing team is a tight-knit group of animal lovers committed to offering adoption services, foster care programs, and volunteer opportunities. What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to every animal that comes through our doors. We believe that every creature deserves a second chance, and we work tirelessly to ensure they find a safe and loving forever home.
